Cory Andrew Moon, 44, of Troutville, VA departed this life on Sunday, July 11, 2021. He was born on January 6, 1977, to Darrell A. Moon, Sr. and Martha J. Moon. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clyde Moon and Virginia P. Moon; maternal grandparents, Davis Parker and Rosa B. Parker; brother, Randy Edward Parker; cousin, Shawn Parker; three aunts, Kay Berger, Dakota Lee and Barbara Anthony and one uncle, Gary Moon.

During his leisure time, Cory enjoyed fishing, playing video games, and spending time with his family. He was interested in cars and enjoyed fixing them. He was also known to have loved flowers and was known to have had a "green thumb." Additionally, Cory loved music and enjoyed hooking up stereos.

Cory has a loving family that he leaves behind to cherish his memories including his loving and devoted wife, Sherry Dawn Parker; daughter, Amber Moon; son, Savion Moon. His parents, Darrell A. Moon, Sr. and Martha J. Moon; mother-in-law, Sharon Parker and father-in-law Harvey Parker (Judy). One brother, Darrell A. Moon, Jr. (Theresa); five sisters, Tina Moon Johnson (John), Stacie L. Moon (Marcus), Paula Brown (Marcus), Lashanda Moon and Keisa Sydnor (Roderick); one sister-in-law, Amy Lawson (Adam). He has 9 nieces, 7 nephews, 3 great nieces, with one on the way, 2 great nephews, a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, friends, and special friends including Desha Callands and Carlton A. Pannell, Jr.
