Mr. Clarence Edward Muse departed this life peacefully in his home at 1050 Daisy Lane, Bedford, VA on August 15, 2017 after a lengthy illness.  He was one of five children born on November 11, 1933 to Rev. Domily and Evelyn Muse.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Domily, and Tommy and one sister, Mary.

Clarence grew up in Arlington, VA where he attended school.  He enjoyed playing football and baseball when he was young and was very good at both sports.  He briefly worked for the County of Arlington and eventually went on to work for Wilson Trucking Company.  He eventually retired from Preston Trucking Company after many years.  He was a member of Second Street Baptist Church in Falls Church, VA where he served on the usher board.  He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 639.  He loved a good game of Bid Whiz, especially with his friends at Green Valley.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Patricia Smith Muse; a daughter, Consuluela Muse, his grandchildren; a brother, Samuel (Vivian) Muse; a sister-in-law, Norma Muse; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 12-noon in the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel (1039 Rock Castle Rd.   Bedford, Va 24523.) Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery (1565 Bunker Hill Loop   Bedford, Va 24523.) Friends may view on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 1-7pm at the funeral home.
