Clarence E. Hurt, age 70 of Lynchburg, quietly entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 31, 2020; after a long term illness. He was born on May 24, 1949 to the late Alfred and Geraldine Hurt of Bedford. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra H. Boswell and Christy Payne; four brothers: Alfred Hurt III, Russell Hurt, Albert Bryant and Tony Bryant.

Clarence was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Those left to mourn his memory: his wife, Cindi W. Hurt; three daughters: Mary James, Mary Ann Bannister (husband, Jay) and Pamela Hurt; devoted step-daughter, Mykia Wilson; six sisters: Elizabeth Leftwich (husband, Calvin), Gloria Hurt, Ann McComb, Francis Bryant, Phyllis Bryant and Gracie Bryant; one brother, Steven Hurt (wife, Gloria); nine grandchildren, ShaQuon, MarTrey, Kyle, Angelia, Xayne, Kenji, Kiarra, Katavia and Karmen; five great-grandchildren, A'sunti, Jayceon, Lyric, Sencere and Keaton; special friends: Andy Harrison, James Hamlett, Robert Robertson and Bobby Payne; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
