Charles Edward "Chuck" Forrest, age 64, of Bedford, departed this life on Thursday, October 24, 2019. He was born on January 3, 1955 to the late Charles Langhorne and Lorraine (John) Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Christopher Deon Forrest and Charles E. Forrest, Jr.

Chuck attended Mount Zion Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Staunton River High School. He enjoyed racing, working on cars, drawing and driving big trucks which enabled him to see the world.

Chuck was a very kind-hearted and selfless person who would give someone the shirt off his back. He loved his children and grandchildren, they were his "world." He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three children, Kevin (Courtney) Forrest, Patrice Anderson Simes and Tamara Forrest; daughter-in-law, Cheri Forrest; grandchildren, Christian Forrest, Kylie Forrest, Monique Anderson, Antonio Stevens, Desmond Simes and Chris Gotwalt; great-grandchildren, Mason Stevens and Malia Stevens; siblings, Kathy Bryant, Michael (Joyce) Johnson, John (Judy) Johnson, Keith (Sharon) Johnson, Peggy Lipscomb and Phyllis Coles; aunt, Betty Rhodes; uncles, Doug Nelms and Leonard Langhorne; a "special" cousin, Daniel Nelms; other relatives and friends.
