Carrie Marrie Lee Brandon was the 4th of six children, born January 9, 1942, in Bedford, Virginia, to the late John Milton Lee and Lucille Virginia Penn Lee of Springfield Gardens, New York. After relocating to New York City at the age of two, Carrie attended school within the New York Public School System and Graduated from Charles Evans Hughes High School. Carrie met her soul mate Samuel James Brandon whom she called her "Best". On August 26, 1962 Carrie and Samuel were married, and from this union they had three children: Lucille, Samuel Terrance, and Tisa Denise. Carrie worked for several companies before she settled down to retire including Sears Roebuck & Company as a Buyer, Bonds Bread Company, Wonder Bread Company as accountant, the New York Founding Hospital as a home care provider for children, and the New York Telephone Company as a Director Assistant. Carrie also served as a member of the Rose of Sharon Chapter of OES and Jr. Worth Matron for the La Rosa where she coordinated fashion shows, plays, cotillions and various programs for the youth. Carrie Marrie was baptized at an early age at Morningside Memorial Baptist Church in Manhattan, New York. She later joined Grace Baptist in Mt. Vernon, NY, under the leadership of Rev. W. Franklin Richardson. She was known as the "Queen" for her fashionable flair and regal elegance. Carrie served as a faithful member of the congregation alongside her husband Deacon Samuel Brandon until relocating to Auburndale, FL. She was a strong woman who believed in family values and was a no nonsense kind of person. Carrie loved her children to life, her grandchildren to the moon and her great-grandchildren to the stars. She made sure each had gifts for birthdays, Easter and Christmas Holiday. Carrie leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Samuel James Brandon, Her Children: Pastor Cherlye Lucille Ratcliff (Apostle Lamont), Elder Samuel Terrance Brandon (Florence),Tisa Denise Kelly (Ramses), Her Grandchildren: "Bebo" Lamont Jaison Ratcliff, "Kei Kei" Rasheite Keteriah Calhoun (DeMarkus) Dominic and Destiny, "Phono" Steffon James Ratcliff, Sr. (Stephanie), "Kringle" Christopher Jose Romero (Marissa), Tira Kahre Kelly, Anthony Quinn Settle (Leslie), "Lil Terry" Terrance Christopher Kendell Brandon (Brittany), "Tati" Tatyana Patrice Marie Brandon, "Moo" Tynise Amanda Nicole Brandon. Her Great-Grandchildren: Aniyah Chairie Radcliff, Steffon James Radcliff, Jr., Trevor James Romero, Noah Romero, Amanda Renee Settle, Justin Quinn Settle. Her Siblings: Alice Dorothea Pringle (James), Evelyn Milton Cherebin (Curtis), Robert Gilmore Lee, John Freddrick Lee, Tara Irnishel Pruitte (Oliver), Tarone Winfield Lee (Clivette), Sister-in-law Dorothy Jones (Moses), Brother-in-law Julius Arrell Brandon (Cheryl), and Tinsley (Buddy) Brandon, Jr. (Delores.) and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
