Ms. Carolyn Gayle Rucker, age 67 of Bedford departed this life on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on July 16, 1953 to the late Clarence Rucker and Hannah Taylor Rucker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, William Taylor and one sister, Donna R. Mallory.
At an early age, Carolyn, joined the Poplar Spring Baptist church; where she sang on the choir. Carolyn was employed at various jobs over the years, but she spent most of her working years at Gunnoes Sausage Co.
Carolyn was a soft spoken, kindhearted and down to earth person. She had a smile that would lighten up a room. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Carolyn's precious memory are: her two brothers, Clarence "Lyn" Rucker of Bedford and Henry D. Rucker of Goode; nephew, Lamarcus D. Rucker of Charleston, SC; uncle, Basil L. Taylor of Bedford; aunt, Jeanette Hayes of Roanoke; other relatives and friends.
