Calvin Donell Martin, 73, of Evington passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Born on December 30, 1952, in Baltimore to Norman Martin and Esther Martin. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jane May Martin and his three children: Calvin R. Martin, Anastacia Martin, and Raymond Martin; one son in-law, Daryl Bennet and one granddaughter; and his brothers: David Martin, John Martin, Howard Martin, and Ronnie Martin. After graduating high school from Susie B. Gibson (integrated into Staunton River High) in 1971, he entered the Marines where he achieved multiple accomplishments over the course of 24.5 years, followed by completing 21 years in the Military Sealift Command.

Calvin was a devoted father and husband, incredible man, and helped those he held dear to him. He loved carpentry, fishing, and cooking, especially alongside his children. Though the time together with his granddaughter may have fallen short, their daily video conversations and shared memories will be treasured forever. He will be remembered as a natural workhorse, talented artist, and great achiever of the Martin family.

In accordance with the family's wishes, services will be conducted privately.
