Brenda Dean Holland, age 73 departed this life on January 13, 2022 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's at her residence. She was born July 1, 1948 in Bedford, VA to the late Otis Holland and Ruth Flood Holland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy L. Jones.

Brenda, affectionately known as Bren, was educated in the Bedford County School System, where she attended Susie Gibson High School. She was a member of Western Light Baptist Church. She loved cooking, crafting and gardening.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Holland Trent (Raymond) of Bedford, VA; brothers, James Holland (Alice) of Bedford, VA, Paul Holland (Rebecca) of Louisa, VA and Joe Butler of Washington, DC; sister, Paulette Holland of Daleville, VA; nieces, Sonya Holland, Jacqueline Holland, Terrell Holland, Tonya Dean & Lavette Holland; nephews, Nautic' Holland, Josiah Holland and Paul Dean; and a host of family and friends.

If Roses grow in Heaven
Lord, please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my Mother's arms
and tell her they're from me.

Tell her that I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.

Because remembering her is easy,
