On Thursday, April 24, 2014, the Lord called home one of His angels, Barry Lewis Payne from labor to reward. Barry was born on June 2, 1965. At an early age, he joined the Oakmulgee Baptist Church in Bedford. He began his career at C.B. Fleet in Lynchburg, VA in 1993 and was a dedicated employee for twenty one years. He also worked at Bedford Memorial Hospital for five years. Barry was a great son, brother and uncle. He was a die heart Virginia Cavaliers fan, and his greatest hobby was bowling. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Margaret Virginia Payne. He leaves to cherish fond memories his mother, Beatrice V. Payne, two sisters, Cynthia Y. Payne (Sam Garrett), and Rhonda M. Payne all of Bedford, VA; two nieces, Maricka R. Payne and Shaunta D. Payne (Abdulhayy Abdulsalam) of Lynchburg, VA; two great nieces, Naima C. Payne and Nahla D. Payne, whom he loved like his very own; two very special friends, Norma Burdette and Belinda Young; and a host of other relatives and friends.
