Anthony Lee "Tony" Richie, 56, departed this life on Saturday, February 19, 2022, in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born in Bedford, VA, on June 08, 1965, and was preceded in death by his late father, Mr. Nathaniel Louis Richie.

Tony attended Bedford County Schools and was adventurous during his early childhood.  He enjoyed the outdoors, go-cart racing, fishing, and most of all, his love for honey buns.  Tony cherished listening to music and spending time with family and will be sadly missed by many.

Those left to cherish his ever-lasting memories include his devoted, loving, and compassionate mother; Laura Wright Richie, four brothers; Larry (Cynthia), Frederick, Kevin, and Gregory "Greg" Richie, four sisters; Carolyn, Linda, Karen, and Evangeline Richie, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my brother's arms
and tell him they're from me.

Tell him that we love him and miss him,
and when he turns to smile,
place a kiss upon his cheek
and hold him for a while.

Because remembering him is easy,
we do it every day,

that will never go away.
