Ann Marie Jackson Whirley Carrington's Obituary
Ann Marie Jackson Whirley Carrington, age 75 of Forest, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018. She was born on September 12, 1942 to the late William and Julia Jackson. She was also preceded in death by one son, Calvin Whirley, Jr. and three brothers, William, Albert, and Delmar Jackson.
Ann is survived by her husband of 36 years, Douglas Carrington; one daughter, Janice Monroe (William "Roger"); a step-daughter, Kimberly Rasheed; one sister, Jean Rose; one brother, Lawrence Jackson (Virginia); one sister-in-law, Carolyn Jackson; one daughter-in-law, Katherine Whirley; three grandchildren, Clarence Hodges, III, Kionna and Kishawna Rasheed; two great-grandchildren, Se'leya Washington Hodges and Avant Martin; and a devoted nephew, Terrence Rose. She also leaves to cherish her memories, her former husband and father of her children, Calvin L. Whirley, Sr. (Marilyn); three special individuals whom she cherished as her children, Jerrod and Morgan Davis and Melissa "Sissy" Woolfolk; special friends, Fannie Terry, Charles Alexander, Katherine Mallory, Patricia Vaughan, Penny Strange, Nancy Hamlett, Ester Haynes and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Spinner; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The fact that you're no longer here

Funeral servi ces will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 12 noon at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (1849 Cifax Rd. Forest ,Va. 24551) . Interment will follow in the church cemetery . The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church . Friends may view from 1-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home .
